LED light therapy has an established history of skin uses. NASA first began studying the benefits of red light therapy for their astronauts in space. The U.S. Navy SEALs began using it in the 1990s to help heal wounds quickly and to help regenerate damaged muscle tissues.
Since then, it has been used in aesthetics for: smoothing out wrinkles, acne reduction, age spots, smoothing pigmentation, reducing red face, etc. It has been deemed safe for all skin types.
